Dr. SEINDE FADENI
Dr Seinde Oladapo Fadeni chairs the Board of Forte Upstream Services Limited, he is also the founder and serving Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of GMT Energy Resources Limited, a private indigenous multi-billion Naira company incorporated in Nigeria with offices in Lagos and Port-Harcourt with an overriding national and global outlook.
He is an astute businessman with experience spanning close to three decades with interests in strategic sectors of the economy including oil & gas, real estate, hospitality, maritime and real sectors.
Fadeni sits on the Boards of some other companies, including Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO plc), MCI FZE Yard Development Limited (a joint venture between MCI FZE and Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria where Total Upstream Nigeria Limited and her partners integrated their EGINA FPSO’s 6 topside modules); Badagry Ship-repair Maintenance Engineering Consortium (BSMEC) and Elect & Chosen Limited (a reputable interior design and furniture supply company).
Known for his incredible skill in perceiving business needs and creating solutions to address the needs, Fadeni had a network of high-value contacts in international and domestic business communities including local and global regulatory agencies.
Fadeni had his higher education at the University of Lagos where he bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He has attended various seminars and courses all over the world, including the Owners/President Management (OPM) Program organized by Harvard University, a citadel of learning devoted to the development of leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally.
He is also an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM), Nigerian Institute of Credit Management and Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has received several awards from professional and business bodies in recognition of his contributions to nation-building.
MANAGING DIRECTOR
DOYIN OGUN
Doyin Ogun is the Managing Director of Forte Upstream Services Limited, where he leads the execution of the Board’s strategic vision and drives sustainable growth. Joining the company on 1st July 2019 as Executive Director of Business Development, he has been pivotal in steering the organization towards operational excellence and market expansion.
With over 22 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry, Doyin has developed deep expertise in operations management, strategic business growth, corporate communications, oil trading, and investor relations. His leadership is characterized by a keen ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and deliver transformative business results.
Previously, Doyin held key roles at Forte Oil Plc, including Head of Corporate Services, Group Head of Strategy and Government Relations, and Manager of Investor and Government Relations. In these capacities, he managed critical functions such as group strategy, government engagement, corporate administration, medical services, branding, and stakeholder communication.
Earlier in his career, he served as Supply Manager at Zenon Petroleum and Gas Limited and Head of Operations at Fineshade Energy Limited, where he oversaw trading, shipping, and regulatory compliance. His foray into the telecommunications sector, as leader of Private Networks Nigeria’s transition to managed services for base stations and critical network facilities, further refined his project management and operational skills.
A seasoned International Petroleum Products Trader and Cargo Operator, Doyin brings extensive experience in oil and petroleum product negotiations, contracting, transportation, refining, blending, vessel chartering, vendor management, and global logistics. His expertise spans the entire energy value chain, ensuring the seamless movement and delivery of petroleum products across three continents.
Doyin holds a first degree in Geology from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and is an alumnus of the prestigious Executive MBA programme at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University where he is currently on the Doctor of Business Administration programme.
He has further enhanced his professional acumen through advanced training at IESE Business School in Barcelona, the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, and the Oxford-Princeton Programme.
He holds memberships of the Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG) and Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS)
Doyin is happily married with two children and his interests include travelling, reading and recently golf.
Non-Executive Director
JULIUS B. OMODAYO-OWOTUGA
Mr Julius B. Omodayo-Owotuga is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Geregu Power Plc and also sits on the board of Forte Upstream Services Limited as Non-Executive Director. He is a CFA Charter Holder, a KPMG-trained Chartered Accountant and an experienced finance professional. He was an Executive Director, Finance & Risk Management at Forte Oil Plc.
Before he joined Forte Oil Plc, he was at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) where he had responsibilities for the Corporation’s Assets and Liabilities Management function and doubled as the Assistant Treasurer. Prior to this, he was the Finance Manager in the same corporation. In this role, Mr Omodayo-Owotuga set up the Financial Control function of the institution. He was also responsible for Human Resources and Administration at the Corporation’s start-up stage in 2007.
Mr Omodayo-Owotuga joined AFC from Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Limited where he was a Finance Manager. Before this, he was at KPMG Professional Services where he led assurance engagements within the Nigerian financial services industry. He also consulted for several Institutions on IFRS and Risk Management while at KPMG Professional Services. Prior to KPMG, Mr Omodayo-Owotuga worked in the Foreign Operations Group of MBC International Bank (now First Bank of Nigeria Limited).
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Chartered Management Accountant, and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is also a member of The Institute of Directors Nigeria (IoD Nigeria).
JB is an alumnus of Oxford University’s Said Business School, United Kingdom, IE Business School, Spain and the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
He holds a B.Sc. in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration.
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
GBENGA FAPOHUNDA
GBENGA FAPOHUNDA is currently the Acting Group Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Dangote Cement Plc. He also seats on the Boards of Gbonka Oil & Gas Ltd and Forte Upstream Services Ltd as a Non-Executive Director. Prior to joining the current employer, he was the Executive Director and Chief Finance Officer for West Africa at Japan Tobacco International (JTI). He is the first Nigerian to be on the Board of JTI. He joined JTI from United Parcel Service (UPS), the biggest logistics company in the world, where he was the Chief Finance Officer for the Nigerian business. At UPS, he was awarded the best CFO within the region – amongst numerous countries. Before this, he was the Chief Finance Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at British American Tobacco (BAT) Ghana, where he oversaw operations across twelve (12) countries. He joined BAT from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). He was a manager within the financial advisory team where his team worked on numerous landmark financial advisory deals where he won the award for the best team and Engagement Manager for the year. Before, PWC, Fapohunda was at KPMG Professional Services where he consulted for numerous Institutions on Accounting processes, IFRS and Risk Management.
He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation; as well as an associate
member of the Institute of Cost Management Accountants. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Treasury and Financial Administration; an associate
member of the Institute of Credit & Risk Management; and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
Gbenga Fapohunda attended the prestigious London Business School for his MBA where he got a GBP 50,000 full scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos and a Doctor of Philosophy (Marketing) from Delta State University. He has written over five professional articles
published in both local and foreign newspapers.
HEAD, Business Assurance & Risk Management
OLUGBENGA SODEINDE
OLUGBENGA SODEINDE is an astute scholar who has 16 years of experience in the manufacturing and oil and gas industry, With specialization in Business Assurance and Compliance Audits, Business process Audits, Risk management, and Operations Management.
Olugbenga joined Forte-Oil Plc in mid-2014 and continued with the successes recorded in Operations management for the next 4yrs. He moved Forte-Oil Plc forward as he re-engineered the resuscitation of the Distribution unit to attain an enviable position amongst the other competing major marketers within the industry. Service delivery hitherto adjudged to be at its lowest service point was improved on and this further boosted investors’ confidence in the company. Olugbenga upon achieving this feat was redeployed to the Business Assurance and Risk management team which had been identified as his forte to further give the desired boost to a control-prone environment. Olugbenga was able to ensure that there was an improvement in Quality Assurance Management and contributed immensely to ensuring that Governance and compliance were entrenched within the company and its retail outlets in particular.
Olubenga left Forte Oil in August 2019 to join Forte Upstream Services Limited in November 2019

JOLOMI A. JAMES
JOLOMI JAMES is a vastly experienced legal practitioner and company secretary, trained in reputable institutions of learning in Nigeria and France. He holds L.L.B and B.L degrees from the Ambrose Ali University, Edo State and the Nigerian Law School. He has leadership experience in broad multi-functional roles spanning legal and tax practice, corporate and regulatory affairs as well as commercial legal management. He has appeared and conducted cases as a trial and appellate counsel across various courts in Nigeria.
Head, Operations/Drilling Fluids & Services Manager
ROBERT UGWUMBA
ROBERT UGWUMBA holds a Petroleum Training Institute Diploma in Petroleum Processing Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry and Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Geology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. He later proceeded to ESUT Business School and was awarded a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management.
With more than 20 years experience in the Energy Sector, he joined Forte Upstream Services Limited in 2017 as the Drilling Fluid Manager, presently he is the Head of Port Harcourt Operations. Robert brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the drilling and completions fluids engineering services, projects and safe management of operations. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Safety, Environmental Management Association of Nigeria and an Alumni of ESUT Business School.

AKINLOLU ODUNLAMI
Akinlolu Odunlami is a highly driven professional accountant with extensive experience leading finance and accounting functions across diverse industries, including oil & gas, financial services, and consulting.
He currently serves as the Head of Finance at Forte Upstream Services Limited (FUSL), where he is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s overall financial strategy. In this role, Akinlolu oversees the preparation of FUSL’s financial reports, ensuring strict adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to present a true and fair representation of the organization’s financial position.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Human Resources & Corporate Services Manager
OMOTOLA MEJULE
Omotola is an experienced Human Resources Professional with 10 years’ experience in HR Operations, HR Strategy, People Management, and Performance Management spanning across various industries- Oil and Gas, Maritime, and Finance Industries.
She holds a bachelor’s degree (BA) in International Relations from Redeemer’s University and a master’s (MSc) degree in Management and Organizational Innovation from Queen Mary, University of London.

INEREPAMO OLUDIYA
An experienced Laboratory Manager in the Oil & Gas Industry (Drilling Fluids & Production Chemicals) with a long-standing record of success in administering laboratory services, managing laboratory personnel and equipment, laboratory staff development, and ensuring that laboratory operations are compliant with safety regulations while focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and implementation of cost-saving measures. She has a proven track record of mentoring and leading teams to successful outcomes. She successfully manages, develops, implements, and maintains effective laboratory operations, adhering to strict regulatory and quality standards while providing laboratory services.

Additional specialties include risk assessment and hazard identification, incident investigation, and remedial action implementation. proficient in interpreting the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
